As a hobby and part-time business I make custom holograms. Rates vary from $15 to $60 each. I specialize in aircraft, spacecraft (real & fictional), and cars. They are made from 3D models between 1 inch and 4 inches. The holographic image will be "actual size".

The laboratory includes a polarized 5.5mW HeNe laser, spatial filter, and 24 inch by 40 inch table with 200 pounds of sand cushioned with 6x6x6 aircraft inner tubes.

I work with 2.5 inch glass holographic plates, which give a much higher quality image than the plastic film most commercial outfits use. I typically obtain a 45 degree range of view in each direction and three inches of depth. I package the plates in either plastic desk stands or key fobs.

A point source of light is needed to view the holograms. The sun, spot lights and track lights, street lights, and pen lights all work well. Diffuse light won't work at all.

In my opinion this is the most seductive piece of music ever written. Zubin Mehta conducts the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.

Each of these pieces take about 6 minutes to download at 14 Kbaud but is worth it.
